My 45 min doctor's visit.
00:00 Appointment time. I check in.
00:02 I am sitting, as soon as I grab a couple of mags and I am asked for the co-pay.
00:05 I am leafing through a magazine for shopping and shopping only! I didn't know those existed. Very interesting. Very fashionable.
00:10 New mother in the background is talking to friend on phone and saying she's never seen the place so crowded (total of like 4 people waiting)
00:15 I discover that G. Palthrow will always be fashionable chic with her aviator sunglases.
00:20 Chic is back! says the magazine.
00:25 All designers say chic is cool; this includes Vera Wang (I kind of like her party dresses, very light and femenine). I discover that most of the models are way taller and thinner than any designer. Designers don't even look great in their own stuff! I am starting to think models are actually very tall aliens that are trying to take over the mass media to give us some sort of message in the near future. Hmm.
00:30 I discover that a dark kitchen can be look bigger by buying new -expensive- appliances and painting it a ligther color. Take away tacky decor too.
00:35 I find cool chopstics "Ping & Pong". only $10 via Pylones.
00:38 I find out that I urgently need a smoothing serum containing grapefruit. Apparently the acidity of the serum changes the pH of the hair and makes it shiny!
00:40 My horoscope: "You might feel that you want to get rid of your wardrobe. Don't. buy this expensive $2000 bag in hideous purple instead". Yeah, i don't like purple, it doesn't go with me.
00:44 I am called in.
00:45 I am being weighed/blood pressure measured/temperature checked.
Nurse: "What are you here for?"
Me: "Annual check-up"
Nurse: "Your HMO won't pay for that yet"
Me: "Really? Why?"
Nurse: "It's not a year yet. You have to come back in a few months"
The moral of the story is: Never keep appointments that you don't remember making.
