Forever...

A november rain here usually means two things: That you better watch out for the cabs for they are usually out to get you. (Yes, I could almost bet that they speed and are aiming at the puddle next to you!!!) and that you'll be met by a wonderful and colorful walk.
Being an eternal optimist I would rather think about the second one and forget completely about the first.

Anyway, the past week has been cloudy. I got a glimpse of the blue sky earlier today, but it's back to rain, like it has been for the past three days. The constant rain leaves a reminder of it in my morning walks; more naked branches and a freshly paved path of leaves.
It makes you wish you were a kid once again, makes you wish that the water would dry already for you to play in the leaves...make piles of them, jump on them...surround yourself with the colors they bring to the rather gray background of the sky.




This is what I love about this area. This is what I was told I would love and they were right.




What amazes me is the ranges of colors, from beautiful golden yellows in ginkos to wonderful oranges and yellows in japanese maples and other trees.







If it could only last forever...
